Carroll Shelby created the legendary Cobra in 1962 and changed the face of American automotive design forever. With such drivers as Dan Gurney, A.J. Foyt and Bob Bondurant, the legendary Shelby Daytona Coupe was virtually unbeatable. Based on the FIA 289 Cobra design, the Daytona Coupe dominated racetracks all over the world en route to the 1965 FIA World Manufacturer's Championship, and Shelby remains the only American manufacturer ever to claim the prize. Only six of these magnificent cars were ever produced and they remain some of the most valuable collectible automobiles in the world.
